Designing the landscape of your dreams is a
process.It takes time and sensitivity, both to
the natural environment and your outdoor living
needs. To design a beautiful space that is dis-
tinctly functional for you, Bur Oak Designs takes
extra care to determine your desires and then,
using our knowledge, skill and creativity, inte-
grate the natural features of your landscape.
We discuss your dreams (how you envision your new space), your needs (pets or children or special activities to accommodate), your budget, and the extent you wish to be involved in your project. We gather site information, take measurements, analyze soil and drainage conditions, and take photographs.
From the ideas we discussed at our initial meeting, we prepare an accurate scale map of your property and a conceptual design plan. Then we meet with you to discuss various options and ideas, as well as a timeline and general costs. You will select from a variety of elements¼stone, pavers, lights, water, trees and shrubs, perennials and grasses.
Based on the choices you made at the previous meeting, we will finalize the plan. You will receive a print of the plan, as well as information on recommended products, construction considerations, and/or specifications necessary to complete the work.
At this time you will choose whether you want to do all or part of the work yourself, or if you want to hire contractors to install the project. Bur Oak Designs is involved as your representative either way.
Hiring Bur Oak Designs to install your landscape design will assure you of a quality project. In our network of quality landscape contractors, each is uniquely qualified for all aspects of your job. It is important that our landscape architect be on site when the work begins and as necessary during the entire installation process. This attention to detail and quality assures imple- mentation of your plan down to the tiniest detail.
