At this semi-rural location, to provide privacy from the road, while incorporating a serene Japanese theme through
the use of blue needle evergreens, ornamental trees and grasses, a stream, and a pond. These are essential elements
of an oriental garden. In this setting, a basic plan and landscape structure was desired that the owner could fill in over time.

The curved drive provides an inviting entrance as well as privacy from both traffic and neighbors. Multi-textured plantings in a variety of hues give a warm inviting welcome in a very simple way.
The entry to the property needed to be
distinctive, yet understated in sticking
with the oriental theme. These two large
obelisks of stone identify the entrance
with simplicity and style.
A running stream, an essential element of the oriental theme, tumbles gently down the slope to two connecting lily ponds below. An overhanging deck and a stone bridge provide a place to absorb the serenity the oriental theme evokes.
